A/N: BRAD this chapter =) You have been warned! lol
A/N 2: Got it done last night-I somehow became epic in a matter of days by finishing my hard work =) Enjoy!
Kris didn't really think his life could get much better than it already was now. Adam had seriously asked to marry him-which he luckily found the air to respond 'yes' to him with-, Crystal still was long gone in the wacky-shack with the perv henchman, no one was causing anyone pain, and all just seemed 'right'.
Of course, as everyone knows, not everything can be as happy and perfect in relationships.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It all began with a simple school project assigned in science, of all places.
"Now class," Mrs. Becker announced while holding a small basket in her hand full of small papers that seemed to be folded quite oddly, "every single one of you will have to deal with family sometime in your life. For most of you," Ms. Becker shot Adam and Kris a quick glance, "that will mean children."
Adam smirked and placed his palm over Kris's, earning a knowing smile from Kris. All of us will.
"So, I've got everyone's names in this basket. Girl will be paired with boy, and the reverse for you men."
Kris sighed. Nice example of being open to everything, teach.
"So, every girl, come in line and you will get to pick your guy! After that, all of you must sit with him. These will be your seats for the rest of this activity until your final grade in two weeks."
Adam tensed up and looked to see his love's reaction. Kris was just as, if not even more, tense as he was. They couldn't bare the thought of being paired up with some weirdo girl. And frankly, there were many possibilities of getting just that.
After a while, most of their group of friends were taken by someone. Brad got paired up with Jamie, much to his luck, Gabby got paired up with some dumb jock, Ben was with a geeky girl, and Casey was with a geek named Freddie. The only hope of any one of them getting a normal person was if Allison, the red head, chose one of their names. She took a casual step up to the basket, pushed her hand into the basket, and pulled out a slip.
"Jeremy Garvey?"
Oh damn, she chose the computer geek! We're screwed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All chances of this being easy as pie gone, the boys just stood and waited anxiously, praying that they wouldn't get someone too bad.
"Kris Allen?"
Both of their heads immediately turned to see who it was. Adam nearly fainted.
It just happened to be the hottest girl in their grade. Nicole Freeman. Long blond hair, perfect body, gorgeous pools of green for eyes, and a cute splash of freckles just below her eyes. She was like....the girl version of Adam.
Minus the green eyes. And the...well...more obvious girl features.
All 5 foot 3 of her strode down the isles of tables until she stood right in front of Adam and Kris, a bit of blush barely radiating from her cheeks. Adam quickly looked between the two and held his breath.
"Um...not to be rude....but....you kinda' have to come with me, Kris," Nicole politely said to the both of them, reaching out to grab Kris's hand to take him to their table. Adam quickly stopped her and made his dominance known, flicking her tiny hand off and planting his lips deep into Kris's, getting his point across to his new fiance' to not get into any trouble with this sly girl. Releasing Kris from his grasp, Adam motioned for them to go, gazing through his lightly eyeliner-rimmed eyes with the look of jealousy Kris-and Brad, but that's beside the point-couldn't stand.
"Adam Lambert?"
Turning his head to the front, there he saw his new partner.
Oh no. The control freak was his partner.
Hailey Sarofsky.
Kill me.
Okay, maybe he was over-reacting. Hailey was a very pretty girl-tan skin, deep hazel eyes, brown flowing hair to her knees. She only was over-reactive when she got freaked by her partner. All he had to do was-
"Where do you think you're sitting, mister?"
Adam looked up at Hailey and sighed, picking up his backpack and sliding the little stool back under the chair.
"Just where are we going to sit, then?" Adam asked with every last ounce of patience.
Hailey snorted. "Uh, where my seat normally is. At the front, where all the smart people are! Now come on, lazy butt! I'm not going to settle for an A minus because you were too lazy to sit down in time!"
Groaning, Adam followed the pixie-like girl up to the very front and took a seat at the very front middle desk, dropping his things down on the ground, only to have to watch Hailey 'fix' them because they were not 'straight enough'. Once she finished with that obsessive thing, she just had to move on to the next.
"Stop slouching, mister! I don't want our baby to get the wrong idea that a bent back is a good one!"
"Who says the baby will listen to what I say? I thought kids always tried to go against their parental figures' words."
Hailey rolled her eyes, 'unsatisfied' by his response. "All I'm saying is that you have to pay child support if we divorce, Lambert!"
"What if-"
"If I divorce you," Hailey answered rudely, "you still have to. Deal with it, lazy hunch-back."
Adam let out an annoyed groan and plopped his head on to the cold table, burying in his arms for shelter from the woman's constant demands.
And they ask me why I like men better. Ha.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night, in the nice Lambert household, Kris and Adam laid belly down into the fluffy pillows, just resting from that day, thanking the dear God above that the 'babies'-robotic 'lifelike' babies that pooped, cried, and basically never slept as far as they were concerned-had to sleep with the mother for that first night. Sadly, though, that didn't mean they wouldn't see the babies that night.
Nicole and Hailey and the 'babies' had to come over that night to 'meet the family'.
Kris's parents, who really didn't have to food and space at the moment to host company, came over to the Lambert's house, deciding with them that the two families would meet there, considering they were basically family now.
Daniel and Neil were sitting on the couch in the living room when a knock came to the door. Leila was kind enough to get the door, and when she did, she was amazed. Nicole stood there in a very sweet blue fluffy dress and had her blond hair in a loose bun on top of her head.
"Hello, I'm Leila, Adam's mom," Leila said, shaking Nicole's hand with a warm smile. "And you are?"
"Nicole. I'm....Kris's....wife, I guess?" Nicole giggled. "May I come in?"
Leila nodded and smiled as the pretty girl came in and met Kris's family. Hopefully, Adam's girl would be like Nicole.
"Um....Mrs. Lambert, where might I find Kris?"
"In his room," Leila said, pointing towards the room. "He should be with Adam."
Nicole nodded, excused herself, and then went off to find Kris. Walking in, Nicole saw both boys laying down, so now spooning each other, while ESPN played on the TV in a constant drone. Nicole snorted and shut the door behind her, gaining their attention.
"So, is this what gay guys do? Watch sports and cuddle? Because you could so do that with a girl."
Adam shook his head and clutched Kris closer to him. "No sweetheart, we do other things than that. Would you like a diagram?"
"Adam," Kris snapped, "stop being so rude to her!"
"I can have Brad tell you about it. He talks slow enough for your kind, I think."
"Adam!" Kris bolted upright and gazed down at him in shock. Why was he being so jealous and defensive all of a sudden? "Stop it! Stop....."
"Stop protecting you from going through that whole Crystal ordeal again?"
"Why-?"
"Oh no," Nicole interjected with a hand in the air in promise, "I am not like that psycho, Adam."
"Who says you aren't just saying that?" Adam snapped back, clearly defensive. He really seemed to be jealous at the moment, and from what Kris had seen and known from the past, Adam was not the best jealous person. Kris quickly got up and came up to Nicole, grabbing her hand tightly and slowly escorting her out. That is, before Adam had his say about it. Getting up just as fast as Kris did, Adam ran up to the two fleeting the room and forced Kris to let go of her hand. He was angry, alright.
"Adam, will you stop it already! Do you seriously think I'd fall for someone while I'm engaged? Especially since that someone is you? Seriously?"
Nicole's eyes widened. "You two are engaged?"
Before Kris could explain, Adam's emotions got the best of him, sending him out the door with a growl of a response to his lover calling him back. The minute Adam reached the living room, Leila and Eber nearly flipped. Nicole flashed a 'it's okay' look at Adam and Kris's parents before helping in Kris's chase after Adam.
"Adam, get back here! You're completely over-reacting and being a jealous freak!" Kris yelled after him, struggling to get a hold of his silky outfit he had on.
"I'll be at Brad's if you need me," Adam angrily muttered, slamming the door practically into Kris's face rudely.
Oh hell.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You ask of my glorious assistance this night while your 'wife' is going to mindlessly go to your house and traumatize your family why?" Brad questioned as he sat in his room on his neon yellow beanbag chair while Adam lay sprawled out on his neon yellow bed depressed.
"Kris and I got into a huge fight," Adam admitted quietly, "and it was all because of stupid Nicole."
Brad sighed. "Trouble in paradise, huh?" Adam nodded. "Well, did she do anything to hurt your relationship?"
"No,but-"
"Did she show any sign of attraction to the fair Prince Kristopher?"
"No, but she-"
"Did Kristopher show any affection to her either?"
"No, but Brad-"
"Then why the heck did you interrupt me while I was working on editing my video?" Brad snapped in his shrill/annoyed voice. "It seems to me that nothing is wrong between you, him, and Nicole!"
"SHE'S A GIRL VERSION OF ME, BRAD!"
Brad rolled his eyes and grabbed his nail file off the side of his dresser and looked back up at the in-distress rock star with calmer eyes.
"Sweetie....you're doing it again...."
Adam raised his eyebrows in confusion. "Doing what?"
"Being a little too jealous of your man. You do it all the time. Heck, for the short time we dated, you were like that. Trust me," Brad added with a smirk, "you can get pretty jealous, babe."
Adam pouted. "But she's actually pretty this time. Crystal looked like a horses rear end, to be honest."
"Crystal? Sweetie, Crystal made my 'happy place' crawl inside me and hide for dear life."
"Bradly," Adam groaned, "this is no time for funny stuff! Heck.....Kradam could be in peril!"
"Not possible."
"Huh?"
Picking up his brown fur boots, Brad swiftly got up and sat down next to Adam's head, mindlessly slipping them on next to him.
"Kradam will always last, you ding-dong. You two make everyone, even girls, jealous. Nicole is a nice little girl, Adam. She may be very popular and such, but she's one of the nicest girls that are popular that I've ever met. She's so not a threat to you two. Honey, the fact you even think she is a threat makes me want to slap you in the face, straddle you on the ground, kiss you, and.......whoa now that was off topic." Adam smirked as Brad blushed in embarrassment. "Where was I?"
"Sorry, I kind of drifted off into subconsciousness after you said you would straddle me on the ground."
"I will cut you, Lambert!"
"You love me too much."
"Try me."
"I'm actually kind of scared."
"You better be, considering I'm driving you back."
"But...my car...and you didn't..."
Brad smirked and walked towards his bedroom door.
"My Mom will bring your car over."
Instantly, Adam got up and followed him, stopping Brad just before he reached the front door of his house.
"What about Kris?"
Brad giggled.
"You already know what you need to do, mister."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"...and so that's why I'd like a blood sample from you two. I mean, I know you guys aren't drug addicts or drinkers, but you can never be too careful, right?"
Leila and Eber exchanged a wary glance. For the pas 15 minutes, all they had heard was Hailey drone on and on with very personal and un-needed questions of them while Kris and Hailey and her family all sat quietly with a shocked looks on their faces. Finally, the young Neil couldn't hold his polite status any longer. He just had to say something.
"Excuse me, but does your mental hospital know that you're gone?"
"Neil," Leila snapped, nearly kicking him under the table, "that's no way to talk to guests."
"But Mom, she just asked if she could take some of our blood to see if we're drug addicts or drunks to see if her robot baby could be either one of them!"
"It matters though, little boy!" Hailey shot back at Neil, smiling like most adults do after their kids act out in public.
"Little? Girl, I'm only 13 but I bet I've had more action then you have had EVER!"
"NEIL," Leila nearly shouted, "one more time and you're in your room!"
Hailey smiled and looked over at Kris and Nicole sitting down with fake smiles awkwardly at the table.
"Well, I say, how is your baby doing? Has he or she made her first poop yet?"
"Uhhh...no," Nicole uncomfortably answered, "not yet."
"I feel sorry for your baby, being treated badly and all."
Daniel groaned. "Did your psych ward not notice you left? At all?"
"Daniel, stop being a bad example for Neil," Kim snapped back, knowing in her mind that she wanted to ask the same question. Suddenly, the front door opened to reveal Adam and Brad-who was wearing a very bright green skin-tight low-cut t-shirt and tight skinny jeans with his fur boots-standing at the door awkwardly. Brad was first to enter.
"Hello Hello!" He chirped, winking at Leila with his bright smile. "I come bringing back a certain man I think Kris may want to talk to..."
"Brad-"
"I said it before, Adam, and I will say it again....I will cut you."
Kris sighed deeply. "Thank you, Brad for your stunning entrance. Now, can you please go back to your glittery world of Bradopia or whatever you call it and leave us be?"
"Very irritable today, aren't we, Prince Kristopher? Fine, I will go. But if you two still are angry at each other when I see you in class, I will go all ninja chicken on you guys." With a whip of his 'imaginary hair', Brad strutted back out the door with a final wave, leaving the room in silence. Just when they thought he was gone, though, he came back in, poking his head around the door.
"Oh, and by the way, it's Cheektopia, my fair prince. Shalom!"
And then he left, leaving both the Allens, the Lamberts, and Nicole and Hailey all in silence.
That is, until Hailey asked one more 'totally important' question.
"Adam, did you use protection last time you did it with Kris? Because I'm not having a baby with some STD carrying dude."
"Mom, can we call and see now?"
"Get every one within a ten mile radius on the phone ASAP, Neil."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that night, when both girls left and everyone was sound asleep, Adam and Kris decided to have the 'talk' Brad wanted them to have.
Adam, clad in nothing but a white tank top and his dark black silk boxers, lay down on his comfy bed, gazing at Kris getting ready to go to bed in the bathroom to the right of him. He was the one who started the conversation.
"I'm sorry I'm such a big jealous freak."
Kris, who was just about done drying his hair from the shower he just took, looked at Adam with a bit of a saddened look on his face.
"Adam, you aren't a freak."
"Every time I see you with a girl, I always think of Crystal, and I really don't want to, but then I see how beautiful they are and for some reason I think they're going to take you away from me and I get all worried and that results as me being jealous so I-"
"Shush," Kris quietly murmured as he came out of the bathroom and slinked on to the bed next to Adam. He then slid his hand through Adam's loose black tufts of hair with a calm and loving smile, cuddling a bit more closer to him. "You don't have to apologize....because I understand completely. Nicole is pretty, and I know how you get jealous. I don't want you to ever be apologetic for it, though, because I know that you just love me so much that you see everyone as a threat to our love. Adam.....just know that I will never, ever leave you. This new little ring I and you have on our left hands is a symbol of our love and everlasting unconditional love for each other. I will never, and I repeat never will leave you for some one else, girl or guy. Now, how's about we make out for a little bit and then head off to bed?"
Speechless and love-struck, Adam just nodded and went with it, taking Kris's face into his hands and slowly began to make love to him with his mouth, making sure to apologize and show his love all in one kiss.
He had to prove Brad right.
Kradam had to last forever.
No matter what.
Even if that mean living through Hailey's blood tests.
